About Senator Maria Mo

I was an exchange student from Norway in Wisconsin, year 2011/2012. The reason why I wanted to be an exchange student was because I had heard a lot of stories about it, from my older friends and aunts, who had experienced exactly that. However, I had been thinking of it since I was 12 years old! But I also love traveling and experience new cultures, so that was an amazing opportunity to really get into a new culture.

Luckily for me, my family also love traveling, so since I was a little kid, I got to experience the world. My family consists of five people, and I am the oldest child. Family means a lot to me, and have been a huge part of my life, even when I moved out. In my earlier years my sister and I went to the same handball team, but when I figured out that I was not that good, I started with tennis. I liked running, so in Wisconsin I did Cross Country.

I have to say that I have a good routine, and is actually a very organized person. I went to a Norwegian college called NTNU. I was not sure, actually, within which subject I wanted to specialize myself in. "Probably physics" I thought, since that was what interested me the most .. But now I am very thankful for doing what I really want to do. To be the Senator of Nebraska! Hopefully my hard work will pay off.

Otherwise I am hoping to have some great years as the Senator of Nebraska, and I really hope you enjoy everything I have to offer!
